5 Restaurants Where You Should Celebrate Your Birthday

In the spirit of my birthday, I wanted to share my favorite places to celebrate a birthday. With all of these places, definitely book a reservation in far as advance as possible - especially with a larger group.

1. Il Localino - What is a birthday celebration without pasta? Il Localino is my go to recommendation for an Italian celebration. Don’t be surprised if you end up dancing with a fog machine or wearing a crazy hat if you tell them it is your birthday.

WHAT TO ORDER: The gnocchi OR the chicken parm

2. Yebo Beach OR Ski Haus (depending on when your bday is!) - If you love South African flavors fused with American cuisine, this place is FOR YOU. Not only is the food good, but the Yebo team makes the atmosphere fit the season. Cold outside? You’ll feel like you’re in a ski house in Telluride. Hot outside? You’ll feel like you’ve left ATL and gone to a tropical destination.

WHAT TO ORDER: Ski Haus? Definitely the fondue. Beach Haus? I cannot stress this enough please order the crab dip. It will change your life.

3. Barcelona - Barcelona is my go to birthday spot for a large group celebration. With locations in both Inman Park and the Westside, you will be able to find a location that works for all of your friends. This is a tapas place, so expect to order a couple tapas for yourself or get real crazy with it and have everyone split all the tapas. PS: Their wine list is out of this world and the Bourbon Spice Rack is probably the best cocktail ever created.

WHAT TO ORDER: Patatas Bravas for sure!

4. Iberian Pig - Decatur is greater because Iberian Pig is there (well, also in Buckhead too). While also a tapas spot, they have a killer meat and cheese board that is out of this world.

5. Superica - Superica has been one of my go to spots to celebrate my gal pals birthdays since it opened in Krog Street Market. It was even more exciting when they opened a Buckhead location (especially since it’s right next to my office). They are a solid spot that serves up good margs, good salsa and good enchiladas!

WHAT TO ORDER: House marg + chicken verde enchiladas (and def add the fried egg on top)
