Valentine's Day 2019 Picks

We are less than a month out from what seems to be Hallmark’s favorite holiday. No, not Christmas, but Valentine’s Day. I was racking my brain on what to tell you guys you should do for it restaurant wise, and then I had a friend ask if I would share with her if Mike and I were going to make a reservation somewhere where would we go. So to take it one step further, I’ll share where we usually try to grab a reservation from, where we get take out from and where we pick up some sweet treats to celebrate this heart filled holiday.

Where we would make a reservation:

Below are some of the places Mike and I love going when we get a chance for a date night.

Miller Union

Every year when Mike and I actually go out for V-Day this is where you can find us. We are HUGE fans of the Farm Egg appetizer (literally if it wasn’t weird I would lick the plate clean) and you can’t go wrong with any of their entrees. I truly love this place because it’s also a farm fresh place!

Nina and Rafi

Nina & Rafi is a newer spot on the Beltline, but it’s quickly become one of our favorites. Not only do they have Detroit style pizza, but they have a killer beverage program. PRO TIP: Order the rice balls to start (you’ll thank me later), get a classic pie AND a specialty pie. It’s ok if you don’t eat it all there - imagine all the amazing leftovers that you will have!

Il Localino

Il Localino is my favorite Italian place to go to any time! I’ve been going there since I was in High School and truly it is a gem. The owner knows her Italian food and I have never had a dish that I didn’t like. Plus they have super fun hats that you can wear while you eat all of the Italian things!

Where we would go get take out from:

Sometimes on Valentine’s Day we love grabbing a bottle of wine and take out from one of the places below. I mean who doesn’t love wearing sweatpants and watching Netflix with their significant other?

Ammazza

I am a huge Ammazza fan. Now that they have a Decatur location that’s right down the street from our house, we find ourselves being even bigger fans! It’s the perfect pit-stop on my way home! You could also totally eat there if you wanted to.

Storico Fresco

Did you guys know that Storico Fresco has a retail market within their Buckhead restaurant? Well, surprise! They have an incredible selection of in house made filled pastas, fresh cut pastas, sauces and lasagnas. Making it easy to grab a delicious Italian meal on my way home from the office.

Who we would order some sweet treats from:

Sweet Bella’s

When I am all about some stinking cute cookies to showcase my love to Mike – I reach out to my girl Martha of Sweet Bella’s. If you think that the love of your life would appreciate some adorable Valentine’s Day cookies, she is your girl to order from. NOTE: She has already opened up orders and will be closing V-Day orders as soon as she sells out.

Southern Peach Pastries

Am I surely not the only macaron fan out there! Southern Peach Pastries is my go to for V-Day flavors that will make any macaron lover jump in rejoice. Is your Galentine or S.O. a huge macaron fan? Make sure you order them a sleeve of these!

Ashley Sue’s Baked Goods

Pretty sure Mike’s favorite thing in the world is Pop Tarts, but when I introduced him to Ashley Sue’s “Happy Pockets” his life was changed. For Valentine’s Day this year she is making heart shaped Happy Pockets that you can order. NOTE: She needs 72 hours for turn around time on your orders.

Tell me what you guys end up doing for Valentine’s Day! I love hearing where you go and what you eat.
